Meet the Team

David Christenson

David Christenson, Actor

DAVID CHRISTENSON is an actor living it up in Los Angeles. He starred in the independent film White on Rice. He’s been studying improv at UCBTLA since 2009 and trained with Drew DiFonzo Marks, Alex Fernie, Joe Wengert, Charlie Sanders, Mel Cowan and others. Since his first classes at UCB, he has fallen hard and fast into an affair with the endless possibilities of improvising. He can be seen at Let’s Do This! and around town performing with his much loved improv teams: Mostly Single, Beau Hunk, PALS and Penguins on the Playground. David is super honored and ready to launch with the Maude Team The Space Program.
Hometown: Sandy, Utah

Adrian Alex Cruz

Adrian Alex Cruz, Writer

ADRIAN “ALEX” CRUZ likes to confuse people by having two first names and refusing to choose one over the other. He graduated from USC with a double major in film and theater and has been working as a writer, director and actor ever since. He writes a graphic novel series that is published in France though he speaks no French. No really. He also found the time to write and produce a feature film starring Edward James Olmos and Tom Sizemore that runs on Showtime in a loop and for which he gets no money. He currently spends his time developing television shows for no money and writing thrillers for French people. No really. He’s a founding member of The Calamity Theater with fellow UCBer Eva Anderson and a long time member of The Evidence Room and Bootleg Theaters. He’s thrilled to be to finally be making a childhood dream come true by joining The Space Program.

Scott Davis

Scott Davis, Writer

The adorable SCOTT DAVIS was born, raised and colleged in Fresno, CA. After majoring in Theatre Arts at Fresno State Scott toured for 4 years with the Missoula Children’s Theatre traveling all over the US, Canada and Asia. Since moving to Los Angeles he has performed with the Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival, Knightsbridge Theatre and Shakespeare @ Play. Scott is very happy to be a writer/performer with the UCBTLA and a member of the Harold Team Bangarang! His past shows at the UCB Theatre include Sketch Cram, CDR Sketch, Prom Night, Let’s Do This! and Super Fun Time Learning Zone, which he also wrote. DAVID PHILLPS’s life got flip-turned upside down when he was born in Los Angeles, California. It got flip-turned again when he went to college in Arizona, and then flip-turned once more when he moved back to Los Angeles after graduating. He has been maxed and relaxed by comedy ever since the third grade, when he heard the punch line: “Got any grapes?” Now, studying with the UCB Theater since 2007, David is very proud to be a member of the Maude team The Space Program. Thank you for taking a minute and sitting right there.
